Children’s Ministry

MFAC loves babies – and our kids! Age-appropriate programs designed to nurture our children and help them achieve their full potential as followers of Christ define MFAC’s Children’s Ministry.

We are privileged to offer many different bible study classes across our campus to meet the needs of all ages. Each of our classes has a team of dedicated teachers who strive to engage your children with the word of God each week. We want your kids to feel loved and to learn to love the bible and our savior Jesus with a fun time of discipleship.

Little Fisher’s Class — 2 years old thru Pre-K

Held above the sanctuary in the church building. Children stay with parents in the sanctuary until after worship, when the teacher takes them all upstairs. Taught by Sarah Self and a rotation of parents whose children are in the class. Children need to have diapers and potty all taken care of before class begins. Teachers and helpers will not change diapers or take kids to the bathroom.

Explorer Class — Kindergarten thru First Grade

This class is held on the second floor of the Family Life Center. We are so excited to have Brittany Staley as the teacher for this new class accompanied by Chelsey Trammel as helper.

Kid’s Church — Second Grade thru 12 years old

This class is also held on the second floor of the Family Life Center. Kid’s Church focuses on students learning and retaining information about all the major biblical stories and teachings. To accomplish that, we have a more structured learning process. Each week, the class is opened by saying pledges to the American and Christian flags, as well as the Bible, and by having prayer. The rest of the class time includes: reviewing the previous lessons, teaching new lessons, playing games, making crafts and partaking of snacks. Students are rewarded with kids church cash for remembering and learning the important parts of each lesson, for class participation and for outstanding behavior. At the end of the quarter, students get to “shop” with the kids church cash they earned. There are a lot of moving parts in a class this involved, and we are so thankful for our committed teachers: Lana Walker, Cassi Steinsultz, and Erin Gray and Rachel Albright.
