What We Believe

GOD

We believe in one God, and that Jesus was God manifest in flesh. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Ephesians 4:4-6, Colossians 2:9, 1 Timothy 3:16)

THE BIBLE

We believe the Bible to be 100% true, containing within it no error or contradictions. It is the chief living authority in all of our lives. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

THE GOSPEL

We believe the Gospel to be the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

SALVATION

We believe that all have sinned and are in need of the Savior.  Jesus Christ is that Savior and He gives us access to salvation by His death on the cross, burial, and resurrection.  Salvation is freely given to all who believe and live out the New Testament experience of repentance, baptism in Jesus’ Name, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 3:23-25, Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 2:4, 37-39, Romans 6:3-4

TRANSFORMATION

We believe that once you experience salvation through the Gospel, transformation begins.  God loves us too much to leave us the way we are.  As Christians we are to love God and others. We express our love of God by living a life that is pleasing to Him. (Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 6:17, 1 Peter 1:16)

THE CHURCH

We believe that the church is God’s plan for spreading the Gospel and serving those in need. By following Jesus, in community with other believers, we help each other to become stronger Christians and accomplish more of God’s mission on the earth. (Hebrews 10:25, James 1:27)

HEALING

We believe the in the supernatural abilities of the Holy Spirit, including healing. During His earthly ministry, Jesus Christ "went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil." The Lord Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. He still heals all who will call upon Him in faith, humility and obedience. In the church age the prayer of faith still saves (or heals) the sick (Acts 10:38, Hebrews 13:8, James 5:15).

THE FUTURE

We believe that Jesus Christ is coming again to take His church to Heaven. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 20:11-15)
